From its foundation in 1965, the breeding objectives of the Forres Angus Stud have been to select structurally sound, good milking females as foundation stock and this breeding policy has not varied since we acquired the Stud in 1990. We aim to breed upstanding, fast growing animals that produce the maximum amount of red meat of the highest quality at the most suitable market age and to breed animals that are structurally sound and of the highest reproductive ability.

It is, and will continue to be, our intention to make use of the latest scientific and objective measurement and recording. In using artificial breeding through Artificial Insemination and Embryo Transfer, we are always careful never to lose sight of the importance of practical common sense and visual appraisal.

We continue to utilize genetic material for optimum production and maximum profit.
